Enterprise Legal Fashion Week 2024
The Better Lawyers Group Fashion Week is an annual event held as a prelude to the Â鶹ÊÓƵSpring Fair.
The aim of the Better Lawyers Week Fashion Week is to celebrate and promote fashion in the Toowoomba Region and provide students and interested adults with a variety of opportunities through which they can learn about and experience the fashion industry from a variety of perspectives.

2024 Better Lawyers Group Fashion Week Theme
Red Red Rose
This year we celebrate the ROSE taking inspiration from Gertrude Stein’s 1913 poem ‘Sacred Emily’ with its famous line “Rose is a rose is a rose”. Using the ROSE as our muse we encourage designers to be inspired by the rose in your own interpretation either through rose prints, floral embellishments, beaded roses, three dimensional roses or applique, or petal shaped silhouettes, the possibilities are endless.
In the creation of your design/s, we ask you to consider the environment in the choice of sustainable or recycled fabrics. Be inspired further by designers such as Simone Rocha, Olivier Rousteing from Balmain, Sarah Burton, Alexander McQueen, and David Koma. Creating an ensemble that is a self-expression of your creativity for the season Spring/ Summer 2024.
2024 Â鶹ÊÓƵFashion Awards
Award Categories – Producing/Sewing an ‘Outfit’
We invite fashion designers from the Southwest and Southeast Queensland regions to submit original fashion ensembles for judging in the 2024 Â鶹ÊÓƵFashion Awards.
Category One
Open Category (18 years & older)
Entry fee $30 per entry
Category Two
Senior School Category (Yrs 10-12)
Entry fee $10 per entry
Category Three
Middle School Category (Yrs 7-9)
Entry fee $10 per entry
The above Categories invite you to try your hand at Producing/ Sewing an “Outfit” inspired by the theme context. Your outfit should celebrate the ROSE within the season of Spring/Summer 2024.
Submission Requirements
Your Produced/Sewn Outfit must reflect the theme context:
- The outfit must be hand made from start to finish by the entrant.
- Made to fit a Â鶹ÊÓƵmodel (student) between sizes 8 to 16.
- The outfit must reflect original ideas inspired by the “Red Red Rose” theme and noted through an A4 mood board which includes sketches of proposed design/s.
- May use a commercial pattern that is adapted to suit the brief
- Photos (at least 3)
of the construction process as evidence.
This category will be judged on the following criteria:

It is essential that the are read prior to commencing design work.
Note: All Entries and documentation (mood board and photos) are submitted to Â鶹ÊÓƵAdministration, Wirra Wirra Street, no later than 4pm Monday 14 October 2024.
Please allow time for postage if entries are to be sent to ensure garments arrive by submission date.

The Better Lawyers Group Fashion Week culminates with the Â鶹ÊÓƵFashion Awards where the winners of the three categories will be announced.

Venue: College Assembly Hall
Cost: $15 for adults. $10 for students.

Join us for an evening of Fashion & Art at the Better Lawyers Group Fashion Week Pop-Up Market.
Browse our stalls of pre-loved fashion and wander through the gorgeous art of The Toowoomba Gallery, while indulging in wine and cheese.
